If you’re a regular reader of Teahab you’ll know my day job as manager of the Birmingham Bead Shop is coming to an end. The shop is being sold, which has given me the push to start up my own business with Hannah making modern DIY jewellery kits. (Check out our progress here)
I cannot wait to have the extra time to spend developing new
tutorials and exploring Teahabs feature weeks. Just one problem… no job, along
with starting up a business will leave me pretty low on the funds I need to
experiment and make the tutorials. So we’ve decided to take on sponsors! We
never really considered doing it before now. Teahab was, and still is about
showing people how cost effective and easy it really is to make simple pieces
of fashionable, up to date jewellery.
Over the past couple of months Teahab has become increasingly popular. We have an average of around 1500 views a day, minimum 1000 and maximum views per day of 8000. We have been nominated and shortlisted for a Cosmo Blog Award 2012 and featured on other blogs such as College Candy, True Blue Me and You and Fancy Francy. We have also been asked to feature as a "Crafty Superstar" on Cut out + Keep which is coming up soon.
I blog 5/6 times a week, with at least one tutorial
(Tutorial Tuesday) and one outfit post a week. I use various social media
platforms to promote Teahab and bring in new readers, and am always looking for
new ways to promote my Blog.
